Needed bait. Was getting tired of paying 8 bucks a pack for herring.

Woke up at 3:30am because I had other things to do today. The only other "nut" who would even consider going was of course Greta. We drove 90 minutes round trip. Probably took 30 minutes to dress and undress from our waders and rain gear. Four scoops later from dry land we had 10 gallons and more than enough.

They are soft but super oily.  Going to brine them to firm them up.  Will still likely use herring for Kings but this should make great halibut, bottomfish, pike, and shrimp bait.

Thanks Greta for keeping me awake and buying breakfast! I'll try to remember my wallet next time!
